Introducing ZKFS (Zero Knowledge File System) – a data layer crafted to cut down blockchain storage needs while maintaining complex business logic. Unlike typical blockchain setups, Mina Protocol’s zero-knowledge approach allows developers to store large data structures indirectly through state hash commitments, without adding unnecessary bulk to the network. Importantly, it shifts the execution of smart contracts to the client side and delegates data storage requirements outside of the Mina chain. This solution provides smart-contract libraries, networking utilities, and data consensus tools for the straightforward development of smart contracts that can handle large data structures.
