WrdHom presents an auditable social media solution, hosting the source code for Mina smart contracts and zero-knowledge programs in o1js. This platform empowers users to audit their feeds easily and inexpensively at any time. In response to the increasing manipulation of the internet by obscure algorithms, WrdHom aims to provide an alternative where users have greater control over their content consumption. Traditional platforms often employ closed-source algorithms or, even if open-sourced, lack transparency in verifying the code running on servers. WrdHom addresses this by normalizing expectations for auditability, openness, credible-neutrality, user-owned identity, and composability in the general internet experience. Key Features: Posts At the core of WrdHom’s social media platform are posts, serving as the primary means for users to initiate conversations, make announcements, and share various content. WrdHom implements a structure utilizing Mina smart contracts, Merkle Maps, and a counter for posts to maintain a secure and ordered system. Users generate content IDs for their posts, sign them, and submit the necessary information to a mempool. The server verifies and assigns post indices based on counters, ensuring global and user-level order. The use of ZkProgram guarantees that all posts are signed, ordered, and timestamped. WrdHom leverages Mina’s capability to implement a Rollup through recursive proofs, streamlining the process of updating on-chain states. This approach enables the merging of proofs for multiple posts into a single transaction, enhancing efficiency. Auditable Content The platform aims to provide auditable content, ensuring that users can request specific posts within a time interval and receive valid responses. The server must provide appropriate posts, post states, and Merkle Map witnesses matching the on-chain Merkle Map root. Any discrepancy triggers automated client verification, alerting users to potential improper behavior by the server. Additional Features WrdHom plans to expand its feature set to include post deletion, restoration, reactions, reposts, comments, tags, auditable moderation, and more. The project envisions a comprehensive social media experience built on the principles of transparency, user control, and composability.
