At the core of Social Cap lies a community-based attestation protocol that facilitates easy self-validation and issuance of credentials through a transparent and repeatable process, all while safeguarding privacy and confidentiality. Utilizing social proof, validator anonymity, random selection, secret voting, self-auditing, and adherence to community rules, the protocol ensures that the validation process remains fair, unbiased, and reliable. Social Cap has been conceptualized as a community-driven platform, allowing each community to define its own claim types, set credential prices, establish validation rules, and design badges.

This design makes the protocol highly flexible, capable of being tailored to suit a diverse array of use cases.

The operational process involves: • Joining a Community: Users experience easy onboarding with no wallet requirements. • Starting a Claim: Users initiate a credential claim, providing evidence and awaiting validation and issuance. • Minting Credential: The platform supports multi-chain credential minting, enhancing versatility and accessibility.
