Catalyzing a new generation of applications powered by zero knowledge cryptography Founded in 2017 by Evan Shapiro and Izaak Meckler, O(1) Labs have been responsible for creating and incubating Mina Protocol from its beginnings as ‘Coda’ into its position as the first succinct blockchain. Evan was, until Dec23 CEO of the Mina Foundation. Still actively involved with Mina Protocol his new role is Chairman of the Board and Advisor, with Kurt Hemecker now head of the organisation. Previously Izaak stood from back from O1 to take an advisory role, leaving Emre Tekişalp to lead O(1) Labs’s team of talented developers at the cutting edge of zk technology. Among a wide range of respected accomplishments the team also created o1js, a TypeScript library for zk-SNARKs and zkApps. You can use o1js to write zk smart contracts based on zero-knowledge proofs for the Mina Protocol. Although their primary focus is on Mina Prootocol, O(1) labs has also won a grant to a build a zero knowledge proof (ZKP) system for OP Chains.
